Phenix City man arrested, charged in baby's death

PHENIX CITY, AL (WTVM) - A Phenix City man has been arrested in connection to the death of a three-month-old baby. 

On Jan. 17 at 12:53 a.m., the Phenix City Police Department responded to a medical call at Steeple Crest Apartments on 5001 River Chase Drive. Autumn Daryoush reported that her three-month-old daughter Alaina Addison Brodka was not breathing and the baby's father was preforming CPR. 

EMT/Phenix City Fire personnel arrived and the baby was transported to Jack Hughston Hospital in Phenix City, where she was reported dead soon after at 1:41 a.m.  

An autopsy revealed that the baby died of blunt force trauma. As a result of a criminal investigation, Robert Allen Earhart Jr. was arrested and charged with murder in connection to this case. He was transported to Lee County Jail.

The case is being investigated by Criminal Investigation Division of the Phenix City Police Department.
