A Columbus woman is now driving a brand new luxury car thanks to the American Heart Association and Mercedes Benz of Columbus.
Vivian Lyles won a Mercedes Benz over the weekend, which was the big prize item offered at a raffle sponsored by the American Heart Association.
According to the American Heart Association, a record number of almost 2,000 tickets were sold, raising more than $100,000.
Lyles says she has always been a supporter of the charity's mission, and her support truly paid off this year.
"Well it feels great, I never won anything of this magnitude before so it feels great," Lyles said. "I make a donation every year just like I said I'm a heart patient so whatever I can do, and I encourage others to do that also, make a donation to the heart foundation."
Every year, hundreds purchase raffle tickets for just $100.
The proceeds go to the American Heart Association. Mercedes Benz of Columbus donated the car Lyles won.
