AUBURN, AL (WTVM) - Two people have been sent to the hospital after an accident along South College Street in Auburn on Thursday, Jan. 29.
Fire crews on the scene said a Chevrolet Tahoe SUV Z71 lost control at the intersection of Longleaf Drive and South College Street and hit two vehicles.
The SUV 721 then ran over a landscaped embankment, causing it to go airborne where it crashed into the parking lot in front of Charter Bank. The SUV 721 hit two parked cars in front of James Brothers Bikes, and the impact flipped a parked SUV on its side.
Fire crews said no pedestrians were injured in this accident. The driver of the SUV Z71 was one of the two people injured, but officials said the extent of their injuries is unknown at this time.
Auburn police officers are on the scene investigating the cause of the accident.
