Sport stacking tournament brings people to Columbus from across the nation

COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) - Girls Inc. hosted their fourth annual Sport Stacking Competition at their facility located at 3535 Levy Rd.

The event took place on Saturday Jan. 31, 2015 beginning at 8 a.m. until 5:30 p.m.

During this competition the girls meet and compete against stackers across the U.S.

There was around 75 people coming to Columbus from Georgia, Florida, Tennessee, North Carolina and Missouri to compete.

Several members from "Team USA" registered as well and a world record holder.

The event sets the Guinness Book of World Records for the most people stacking at multiple locations in one day. 

It was open to the public with a $2 entry fee at the door. The funds will help Girls Inc. raise money to send the team to this year's AAU Junior Olympics.
