COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) – A Columbus Police Department incident report indicates a business was burgled and a miscommunication delayed the report.
Officers were dispatched to NEXcel Technologies, located at 3907 Macon Rd, suite F, in reference to a burglary on Friday.
One of the co-owners of the business told police that between Dec. 2, 2014 and Feb. 10, 2015, unknown persons entered the north side door and took the office equipment.
There were no signs of forced entry and at the time of the report, the door where the alleged burglars entered was unsecured.
The report was delayed because the owners of the business believed Waddell Realty was finishing work on the building. The realty company informed the business owners that they did not remove any items from their business and had not completed any new construction work.
The total value of the items stolen is unknown at this time.
The case remains under investigation.
