'Tip-A-Snake' silent auction, dinner has Cottonmouths raising money for kids

COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) – The Columbus Cottonmouths and Children's Miracle Network at Midtown Medical Center announce their annual Tip-A-Snake dinner and silent auction.

This year's theme is “Dancing with the Snakes” and the event is scheduled for Tuesday, Feb. 24.

Tip-A-Snake, sponsored by Kinetic and the Columbus Cottonmouths, turns the hockey players into waiters to earn tips for the Children's Miracle Network at Midtown Medical Center.

In previous years, Cottonmouths players have been known to sing and dance to raise money. There is also a competition between players and between tables to see who can raise the most "tip money."

Silent auction begins at 6 p.m. and dinner will be served at 7 p.m. at the Green Island Hills Country Club, located at 6501 Standing Boy Rd. in Columbus.

Guests will enjoy dinner and a cash bar. Dress for the evening is cocktail attire. Individual tickets are available for $50, and a table of eight is available for $375. For more information, please call 706-660-6204.
