COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) - Columbus Technical College held a black history game show on Wednesday, Feb. 25.
Dozens of students filed into the McCaulley Auditorium to take part in the event.
The game show was hosted by the Student Leadership Council to celebrate Black History Month.
Students participating in the game show had four rounds of 24 questions and a chance to win some cash.
Organizers say this was a good idea to get the students involved.
"Actually three-fold, one to make sure our students know that we want them to be actively engaged in campus activities, two truly celebrate what wonderful things have happened because of the black history that we had in this country, also to make sure that we have a continuous learning environment," said Valerie Richardson, campus life coordinator.
This was the first game show of its kind at Columbus Tech, and organizers are hoping to continue the event every year.
