COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) - The city of Columbus will soon be under the national spotlight.
On Thursday, C-SPAN Network announced it will be producing television segments to showcase the city's history and literary life.
During the next few days, the network will be interviewing several local figures and filming places of interest.
Network representatives say Columbus has so much to offer that it might be hard to determine what to showcase.
"There's so much history here that we're just three people and a certain amount of time there's not enough time to get everything so the goal would be to come back,' said Debbie Lamb, coordinating producer for C-SPAN Network.
The segments will air on March 21 and 22 at 12 p.m.
The literary segments will be on C-SPAN 2 and the history portion will be on C-SPAN 3.
