COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) - Columbus State University held open forums Monday with the third of its five remaining presidential candidates.     

The forums are meant to give students, staff, and faculty a chance to contribute their voice to the selection process. 

Monday's forum was held with Dr. Chris Markwood, Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs, Texas A&M University. Markwood spoke about his passion for education at the forum.

"It would actually go back to my purpose, partnership and passion,” Dr. Markwood said. 

The remaining dates and the candidates are as follows:

Wednesday, March 11, 2 PM and 3:30 PM: Dr. Carl Stockton, Provost and Senior Vice-President for Academic Affairs, University of Houston-Clear Lake, TX

Monday, March 16, 2 PM and 3:30 PM: Dr. José-Marie Griffiths, Vice President for Academic Affairs, Bryant University, Smithfield, RI
