LEE COUNTY, AL (WTVM) - An east Alabama mother could spend 20 years in prison after pleading guilty to multiple sex abuse charges.

Lehman requested a split sentence and was denied by a judge.

The conviction also requires that the defendant must register under Alabama's Sexual Offender Registration and Community Notification Act (SORNA), if she is ever released.

Lehman was arrested on Feb. 6 at her home after the Lee County Sheriff's Office received a complaint that she was sexually abusing children, dating back to August 2013.
