AUBURN, AL (WTVM) - Goodwill in the Auburn and Opelika area gave a helping hand to those who are looking for work.
The non-profit organization held its first ever "Goodwill on the Go" event in Auburn on Wednesday.
The event took career services to low-income residents who have the need for employment help but do not have transportation.
Job-seekers were able to get information on interview skills, job postings, job application and a lot more.
Those who organized the event say events like this one are extremely needed in the community.
"We have so many people in the community that face some travel or transportation issues and they may not be able to go out every single day and hit the streets looking for a job," said Kendall Erlandson, Goodwill Career Center Manager. "So for us to be able to bring that closer to them is huge for us."
The event was free for those who took advantage of it.
