COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) - Some Columbus residents were taught tonight how not to be "jerked around" in their love life.
The Right from the Start part of Pastoral Institute hosted their "How to Avoid Falling for a Jerk/Jerkette" seminar tonight, March 25, at the Columbus Public Library.
Attendees learned how to build a relationship safely and how to have a clear understanding about what that other person is really like.
They are hoping to educate men and women on how to recognize subtle, hidden signs of future problems, judging partner's true personality, and focusing on emotional health in relationships.
"We are here to try to teach people how to date and how to be aware of people's behaviors and actions so that they don't end up in a difficult situation or a difficult relationship," says relationship educator Monica Cobis, M.Ed.
Tonight's class was an introduction meeting. The full class will be held on May 20 at Pastoral Institute.
