COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) – The antique mall Front Porch of the South has announced its closing in May, the venue confirmed Tuesday, March 31.
Since January of 2013, The Muscogee Roller Girls have held their practices at Front Porch of the South three times a week.
Now with word that one of the largest antique stores in the south is closing, they are searching for a new roller rink.
"We'll still be here, we will still be the Muscogee Roller Girls, we are going to our April bout and our May bout, and we are still going to practice here until we can't," explains Danielle Saucedo of the Muscogee Roller Girls.
Front Porch of the South is one of the largest climate-controlled indoor Antique Malls in the Southeast.
It is currently home to hundreds of vendors who sell a variety of items including antiques and jewelry.
Front Porch also features stages for concerts, trade shows, auctions.
It is the home venue for Muscogee Roller Girls, who want to assure their fans, they aren't going anywhere.
"We love our fan base. We built it over the past several years. So we want them to know we will still be here, we love our fans, we'll find a place and we will continue on," says Saucedo.
Front Porch of the South says all vendors must exit by May first, although all events that are currently booked will be honored.

attributed to Front Porch of the South.
The 130,000 square-foot space is currently located at 7607 Veterans Parkway in Columbus.
