AUBURN, AL (WTVM) - On Friday April 3, the Auburn Police Division arrested Raishown D. Dawson, 19, from Auburn, on warrants charging him with third-degree burglary and third-degree theft of property.

The arrest is the result of an investigation into a report of a burglary of a residence in the 200 block of West Longleaf Drive that was reported to police on March 12.

According to the victim, someone forced entry into the residence while they were away and stole electronic devices valued at $450.

An investigation into the burglary by APD resulted in Dawson, who is the victim's neighbor, being developed as a suspect. Detectives discovered that property taken in the burglary was later sold by the suspect.

Dawson was transported to the Lee County Jail and will be eligible for a $4,000 bond.
