SMITHS STATION, AL (WTVM) - A school in Lee County, Ala. is chopping off hair for a good cause.
East Smiths Station Elementary School held its 2nd annual Pantene Hair Donation on Monday, April 6.
Students and teachers volunteered to take the big chop to donate their hair to help make wigs for cancer patients. Organizers say anybody can help.
"Ultimately what I hope that we're able to do is let people find that there are many, many ways you could help," said Principal Paul Kohler. "One of the ways is through giving your hair and another one is through donations. There are lots of things people can do and they're all important and that at any level people can help."
Around 40 people participated in the Pantene Hair donation. For more information, visit the Beautiful Lengths tab on Pantene's
