Pam Hodge approved for new Deputy City Manager

COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) – On Tuesday April 28, Pam Hodge was approved as Deputy City Manager.

David Arrington announced his retirement and now the current Columbus Consolidated Government Finance Director Pam Hodge has been selected to take his position.

Hodge graduated from Wichita State University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business. She also has served as CCG Finance Director since April of 2007 and was the Assistant Finance Director since 2004.

She has nearly 20 years of municipal experience with working for the local governments of Sarasota County and Monroe. She has held several positions in the private sector with Panasonic, First State Bank, Centrust Savings Bank and several others.

"We have several great internal candidates, but Pam probably worked closer with this Deputy City Manager's position than anyone other than me. Pam has been a valuable member of our executive management team for many years." City Manager Hugley said.

Mr. Hugley announced a slight re-titling of the current Deputy City Manager position to fit the particular expertise of Ms. Hodge and to fall in line with similar positions around the country. The new position title will be the Deputy City Manager of Finance, Planning and Development.

Hodge will oversee five departments including finance, engineering, inspections and codes, planning and community reinvestment.
