FORT BENNING, GA (WTVM) - Fort Benning's Soldier for Life Center held its "lunch and learn" college and career fair on Wednesday.
Mini classes were offered at the fair Wednesday afternoon.
Organizers taught participants how to compare G-EYE bill benefits, transfer education benefits, and how to obtain joint services transcripts.
Chattahoochee Valley Community College also announced the recipient of a 2-year full scholarship to attend the school during the fair.
"Today we had a first-of-its-kind combined event that combined a college fair with over 30 colleges in attendance and an employer fair," said education specialist Donald C. Ellwood. "We gave away a scholarship this morning to a very deserving young lady who is the daughter of an active duty sergeant here on base. She got a full ride two year scholarship Chattahoochee Valley Community College."
Participants also received free haircuts, manicures and Free Application for Federal Student Aid classes during the fair.
