FORT BENNING, GA (WTVM) - The Fort Benning Equal Opportunity Office hosted a Day of Remembrance program and ceremony at The National Infantry Museum.
They discussed the theme "Learning from the Holocaust: Choosing to Act."
The guest speaker was Senior Jewish Chaplain Colonel Jacob Goldstein, a rabbi of the U.S. Department of Defense.
Services included a Candle Lighting of Remembrance followed by awards and recognitions.
Every year during Days of Remembrance, ceremonies and activities are held throughout the United States in local communities, at state and local government offices, on military bases, and in workplaces, schools, and religious institutions.
