COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) – According to a Columbus Police Department arrest report, an Oregon man turned himself in to Columbus police and was arrested for alleged sex crimes against a child.

Jonathan David Peed, 40, was arrested on April 16 and charged with one count of aggravated child molestation and one count of aggravated sodomy.

The surrender stemmed from two outstanding felony warrants being issued in his name in Muscogee County.

It is unclear from the arrest whether Peed is a resident of Columbus or any of the surrounding areas, and lists his address as a city in Oregon.

Peed appeared in recorder's court on Friday and remains in Muscogee County Jail.
