COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) - If you are looking for a Summer activity for your child we have a suggestion.
Premier Martial Arts in Columbus has ten spots left open in their in Summer Karate Camp. The course starts the week of May 25 and ends the week of August 7.
While in the program not only will kids learn martial arts they will also play games, read and have a chance make their very own action movie.
Owner and instructor Charlton Martin says martial teaches a child more than just how to defend themselves.
"We tell our students we always expect their best. For some of them that self confidence is very important. Some of them just need an a disciplinary where they can focus and pay attention on their martial arts instructor's which of course bleeds over into their school as well," Martin said.
They are learning to pay attention to their school teachers moms and dads.
The camp is open to children between the ages of five and 13.
