COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) - April is esophageal cancer awareness month. It's a devastating and aggressive disease, but it can be beaten.
Dr. Paul Cartwright of Columbus Regional Health joined News Leader 9 to discuss this important issue.
This cancer has increased 67 percent since the 70's and Dr. Cartwright urges people to get an EGD from a gastroenterologist.
