COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) - Lieutenant Fitzpatrick with the Columbus Police Department has confirmed a motorcyclist was killed in an accident involving a tow truck Wednesday afternoon at 5454 Miller Road. 

The victim has been identified as 23-year-old Paul Simpson Bloxom IV. He was pronounced dead at 6 p.m. by Muscogee County Coroner Buddy Bryant. 

"We heard a really loud crash and went running outside," said witness Kerri Riles. "We tried to get a pulse on the guy and couldn't feel the pulse."

The Georgia Bureau of Investigation will perform a toxicology report.
