Entrepreneurs compete in AU's "Tiger Cage"

AUBURN, AL (WTVM) - On Friday, Auburn University students presented business ideas to judges as part of the "Tiger Cage" competition.

It's just like the show "Shark Tank," and the prize is $10,000!

Four teams of Auburn University students presented the plans for what they say are the next big things in business.

The judges are no stranger to the world of business. In fact, Kevin Harrington was an original judge on Shark Tank, the show that the Tiger Cage competition was modeled after.

With a net worth of nearly half a billion dollars, Harrington says he knows a good idea when he sees it.

"I like to see the process of a good pitch but then from the opportunity standpoint, I want to see a business that has very good revenue potential, long term growth, a big potential. 'Is it the next big thing?'" he said.

The winning team was Parking Grid Technologies, whose goal was to make finding parking in Auburn and eventually everywhere a lot easier for everyone.
