Auburn man arrested, charged with first-degree robbery

AUBURN, AL (WTVM) - On Friday April 24, the Auburn Police Division arrested Darrell L. Spinks, 22, from Auburn, AL, on a felony warrant of first-degree robbery.

The arrest is the result of a robbery investigation that was reported to police on Friday. The alleged robbery occurred near a residence in the 500 block of Foster Street.

According to the victim, he was approached by Spinks, who was an acquaintance, and robbed at gun point $300 worth of property.

An investigation into the incident was initiated by Auburn Police and Spinks was sought and located a short time later by officers.

Spinks was taken into custody and subsequently charged. Spinks was transported to the Lee County Jail and will be eligible for a $100,000 bond.
