COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) - The Columbus Chamber of Commerce recognized several schools and businesses that work together as a part of the 'Partners In Education' program, or PIE.
Ten Muscogee County schools and companies from TSYS to the military were honored as the partnerships of the year on Tuesday, April 28.
There are more than 50 partnerships for volunteering, mentorship and educational projects.
School superintendent Dr. David Lewis was glad to see so much support.
"Great night here recognizing our PIE partners, we appreciate so much their many contributions for our school, the Tri-County area, and we really appreciate their support as well as that of the Chamber of Commerce in Columbus," Dr. Lewis said.
