COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) - Dr. Jacqueline Herd has joined Columbus Regional Health as Vice President and Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) for Midtown Medical Center.
She comes to Columbus Regional Health following leadership positions in Atlanta and California.
Herd has extensive experience as a nurse executive. She previously served as CNO at Atlanta Medical Center. Prior to that, she was CNO at Western Medical Center in Santa Ana, Calif. and Centinela Freeman Healthcare System in Inglewood, Calif.

"She comes to us with a wealth of knowledge and vast experience in nursing leadership. We know she will cultivate strong relationships with the physicians in our hospital and the community to enhance our quality of care and service."

I love being a nurse, and I have a duty and responsibility to advocate for our patients, especially those most vulnerable."
A California native, Herd has lived in Georgia for six years. She earned her B.S. in Health Science and M.S. in Nursing from California State University-Dominguez Hills, and a doctorate in Nursing Practice form Walden University in Baltimore, Md.
