LEE COUNTY, AL (WTVM) - Testimony is expected to begin Tuesday, May 5 in the murder trial of Tiffany Andrews of Smiths Station.
A jury is in the process of being seated, and the trial began Monday morning at the Lee County Justice Center.
Andrews is accused of murdering her husband, 33-year old Fort Benning Specialist Michael Andrews, by hitting him with her car while he was riding a motorcycle on July 1, 2012.
The Lee County Sheriff's Office says evidence at the scene shows Andrews intentionally struck her husband.
However, the defense claims the deadly wreck was an accident.
On Tuesday, a friend of the victim testified the couple was arguing at his house the night of the alleged murder. Andrews left on his motorcycle, and his wife followed in her car.
