TUSKEGEE, AL (WTVM) – A homicide investigation is underway in Tuskegee, Ala. after officials say a man was shot and killed during a fishing trip.
The Macon County, Ala. coroner says Edward Cardwell, 52, was shot in the head at a pond off Torrence Road on Tuesday just before 7 p.m. He later died at Baptist South Hospital in Montgomery.
His body has been sent to the Alabama Department of Forensic Sciences for an autopsy.
The Macon County coroner says Glendon Hickman was arrested at the scene in connection to the shooting, and is currently being held in the Macon County Jail. Officials also tell us Hickman's wife and child were present at the scene when the shooting took place.
