COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) - Members of the Muscogee County Board of Education briefly went back to school Wednesday evening.
The education board played the role of students as they attended a financial management meeting.
They received training on the best practices for financial management of a school system.
Among the topics addressed was the Quality Education Act, property tax use and the school district 2014 financial report
"More information, they get better job as a school board member and make better financial decision," explained financial consultant Paul Glick.
This is not mandated by the state, and not all school board members were present at the meeting.
