COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) – In the U.S., 30 million people go hungry each day, and our local letter carriers are working to feed those in need in Columbus with their annual Letter Carriers' Food Drive.
Gary Wilbourn stopped by the morning show on Thursday to talk about how we can get involved to help feed the hungry.
The food drive is a joint effort between the National Association of Letter Carriers, the United States Postal Service and Feed the Valley.
The food drive takes place on Saturday, May 9, and those who wish to participate can place non-perishable food items in plastic bags in their mailboxes for letter carriers to pick up.
