Goodwill Week provides job seekers with training

Goodwill hosts job training

COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) – Job seekers still have time to take advantage Goodwill Week.

The organization held workshops for those looking for employment during information sessions at the Blue Cross and Blue Shield on Thursday.

Goodwill is also conducting training and holding mock job interviews. Goodwill Southern Rivers Communications Director Julie Bennett discussed other ways they are helping people land a job.

"I think one of the most important things is to get your resume right and help develop resumes," Bennett said. "If a person comes into our career center and they are looking for job that is on the first things we do with them."

Goodwill also offers classes for computer training and how to dress for success while on the job hunt.

Job seekers should dress professionally and bring their resumes. The career centers will also have a variety of classes focused on business and entrepreneurship.
