COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) - New student housing will soon be coming to Columbus State University.
On Monday May 11, CSU officially broke ground on the new housing project, which will add 539 new freshmen beds.
The site of the new complex on Clearview Circle will overlook CSU's main campus.
"We were really focused on bringing our students closer to campus and that is what this building is going to do," said Sarah Secoy with CSU. "It is going to draw our freshman population closer to campus and that is what we are looking forward to the most."
The project will cost about $25 million and is expected to be completed by the Fall 2016 semester.
