COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) - Seven years ago, Scott Ressmeyer and his fearless band of motorcycle riders set an ambitious goal: raise $1 million for Midtown Medical Center's Children's Miracle Network to benefit children with cancer.
This year, they will reach their goal.
WTVM is a proud sponsor of the ride, giving our viewers exclusive daily updates throughout each day of the 21-day adventure, through all the lower 48 states, through good weather and bad, breakdowns, early mornings and late nights, all for a great local cause.
Scott's Ride for Miracles attracts national coverage and although we marvel at the epic scale of the journey, all of us can ride along in different ways.
You can make an online donation or buy a brick for the Miracle Network's Walk of Fame.
Once Scott and his riders return home to a celebration and concert on May 22, their ride and their mission isn't really over. The real drive is to continue their work supporting Midtown Medical Center's fight to treat and defeat deadly childhood cancers.
Scott has done so much to help make that happen and we offer him and all the riders our sincere thanks and wishes for a safe journey home.
