Man allegedly puts gun to a man's head in Columbus

COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) – A man was arrested on Friday, May 15 for allegedly putting a gun to another man's head.

According to police, it all happened while the victim was on his bicycle at a stop sign at 24th street and 13th Avenue.

The suspect was identified as Maurice Weaver.

He was arrested and charged with aggravated assault.

Weaver's case was continued this Saturday morning in Recorder's court until May 21.

The Russell County Commission holding their annual fund-raising golf tournament at Lakewood Golf Course beginning at 6:30 p.m. this evening.
