Health with Dr. Paula: P.A.M.P.E.R. yourself with exercise

COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) - We all know that exercise can help us lose weight and reduce belly fat, but did you know that you actually PAMPER yourself every time you exercise?

Columbus State University's Dr. Paula Walker King stopped by the morning show on Tuesday to talk about taking care of yourself.

PAMPER is actually an acronym that you created to teach the benefits of exercise. The benefits of  "PAMPER" are:

  • Protects from heart disease
  • Age in reverse
  • Memory is enhanced
  • Posture is improved
  • Energizes you
  • Relieves Stress
  • Exercise - At least 30 minutes a day on most days of the week (aim for at least four days of exercise).

Is there other pertinent information that we should know about exercise?

If you're under the care of a physician, talk with your doctor before beginning your exercise regimen.
