(WTVM) – We usually think of Hollywood when it comes to filming, but according to a new study the state of Georgia ranks third in U.S. film production.

Georgia ranks third in U.S. film production, only behind California and New York. In Georgia, there were 10 movies filmed in 2014 and 9 filmed in 2013.

Here were movies that were primarily filmed in Georgia last year:

Let's Be Cops

Need for Speed

Addicted

Hunger Games: Mocking Jay Part 1

Tyler Perry's The Single Mom's Club

No Good Deed

Dumb and Dumber To

Endless Love

Ride Along

Million Dollar Arm

All of the top states for film production offer some sort of incentive. For example, Georgia offers 20 percent of the base investment in the state, plus 10 percent if the production activities include a Georgia promotional logo in the film credits.

According to the study, the state of Georgia has one of the least transparent film incentive programs in the country. The only information the state releases are the titles of projects filmed in the state and the aggregate amount of all production spending from major movies down to TV commercials.

In the study, nearly 30 states were used as primary production locations among the study's 106 films.

While total domestic box-office revenues in 2014 declined slightly from record highs reached in 2013, global revenues still managed to reach a record high of $36.4 billion.

Family Feud, The Walking Dead, Chrisley Knows Best, and many more TV shows are also filmed in Georgia.
