Aubrey Weldon has been sentenced to 21 years in prison.
A jury found Weldon guilty of "Reckless Murder" back in March for the August of 2013 killing of Andrew Pugh.
Weldon was under the influence of prescription drugs and alcohol when he left a Dollar General Store after trying to buy more beer, but his card was declined.
He was driving about 90 miles per hour on Lee road 270, when he blew by a stop sign, crossed the center line and hit Pugh's vehicle head on.
Weldon begged the judge for mercy, saying he would give his life to take what happened back.
Meanwhile Pugh's family says although the verdict and sentencing does bring them some peace, their hearts will never recover from Andrews death.
