COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) - Children at Midtown Medical Center got a very special visit on Wednesday.
The 40 women aspiring to be the next Miss Georgia spent their afternoon touring the hospital and making crafts for its pediatric patients.
They also paid a visit to the high risk and special care nurseries in the Children's Hospital.
"Really brings a lot of smiles, a little ray of sunshine to families and patients during their hospitalization," said Aline Lasseter, President and CEO of Columbus Regional Health Foundation.
The Children's Miracle Network is the official national platform of the Miss America Organization.
