COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM/WXTX) – Columbus has been named a 2015 Playful City USA community.

The national recognition honors communities across the nation for making their cities more active.

The Columbus Parks and Recreation Department strives to create a playful community for both children and adults to be active in the community.

The national non-profit KaBoom! gave Columbus the honor and KaBoom! CEO James Siegal says, “Playability is crucial to the success of our future communities, and we are proud of the works these cities and leaders are doing to provide a better quality of life.”
