(WTVM) - A Russell County jury called it quits for the night after deliberating for about two hours on Monday.
Defendant Willie Dickerson is accused of stabbing and killing then-26-year-old Willie Pugh in Barbour County in January 2012.
Before the jury got the case, the court heard more about jailhouse phone conversations Dickerson made while in custody in Houston County.
Dickerson called his sister after learning the body of Willie Pugh had been found in January 2012.
The prosecution played those tapes again in court on Monday.
The defense told the court Dickerson was framed during closing arguments.
Jury deliberations will resume Tuesday morning at 9 a.m.
