AUBURN, AL (WTVM) – On Friday, June 26 the Auburn Police Division arrested Eric Williams, 24, on felony warrant charging him with burglary in the second-degree.
The arrest is the result of an investigation of a burglary that was reported to police on June 4. This took place at the 800 block of W. Magnolia Avenue.
The victim reported that someone illegally entered their residence and attempted to take several electronic devices.
After an investigation, police developed Williams as a suspect once he was identified from a video surveillance in the residence.
Detectives obtained an arrest warrant on Williams charging him with burglary in the second-degree.
Williams was taken into custody by Auburn Police with the assistance of the U.S. Marshall's Service Task Force.
The investigation is ongoing and additional charges are possible.
Williams was transported to the Lee County Jail where he will eligible for a $5,000 bond.
