COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) – The annual Convention of Jehovah's Witness started Friday at the Columbus Civic Center.
The convention takes place from July 3 until July 5 and July 10 until July 12. Around 9,400 people are expected to attend over the next two weekends.
The theme of the program this year is "Imitate Jesus" which exams the life of Jesus as outlined in the bible. Convention spokesman Billy Goodman talked about what new things are being done at the convention this year.
"This year we have some audio visual elements that are coming into our program which are very entertaining. We also have two part dramas. It's a very good program that is beneficial to families, children and individuals alike," Goodman said.
There is no admission to attend and Goodman says the convention is open to everyone.
