COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) - Mentors in East Alabama got the chance to be a big brother or big sister for the day on Saturday, July 11.
The big for a day program allows children to learn valuable lessons from a positive adult in the community.
It also allows those adults who don’t have time to make a long term commitment, still make a difference.
"Every moment was a moment to cherish. My favorite thing had to be the tug of war. Tug of war was fun and everyone got involved, it was a lot of team work and it was also a great team builder,” Jeremy Ackles said with Big Brother Big Sisters.
Everyone enjoyed outdoor activities, food, music and more.
