COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) - The Barbasol Championship going on this week at the Robert Trent Jones Golf Trial in Alabama, received a special guest on Wednesday.

Auburn golfers Blayne Barber, Patton Kizzire and Ben Schlottman posed for pictures with birds from the Southeastern Raptor Center.

The center rehabilitates and releases hundreds birds of prey annually. One of the birds brought Wednesday was spirit, the eagle who flies before Auburn football games.

The players said the birds were impressive to see up close. The Southeastern Raptor Center also conducts educational programs across the Southeast.

The Barbasol Championship at The Grand National’s Lake Course in Opelika will continue for the rest of the week.
