3 juveniles and adult arrested on burglary charges

AUBURN, AL (WTVM) -

On Sunday, July 19 the Auburn Police Division arrested one adult and three juveniles charging them each with burglary third degree and theft of property second degree.  

Carissa D. Williams, 21, a 16-year-old female, a 17-year-old male and 17-year-old female were arrested on felony warrants. All suspects are from Auburn, Ala. 

Auburn Police responded to a report of a burglary in progress at a residence in the 1900 block of Overlook Court at approximately 6 p.m.

Individuals were seen carrying televisions out of a residence, loading them into a vehicle, and leaving the scene. 

Officers conducted a traffic stop within in short distance of the residence and took three of the four suspects into custody.  

The fourth suspect was subsequently located and taken into custody, while still in the vicinity, by another officer.

An investigation by Auburn Police resulted in Williams and the three teens being identified as the individuals responsible for the burglary.  

Property taken from the residence, valued at more than $1,200 was recovered in the vehicle.  

All four suspects were charged with burglary third degree and theft of property second degree.  The investigation is ongoing and additional arrests are possible.

The three juveniles were transported to the Lee County Youth development center and are awaiting a detention hearing. 

Williams was transported to the Lee County Jail and will be eligible for a $6,000 bond.
