COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) - The recent Lafayette shooting is hitting too close to home for many people in the Chattahoochee Valley.
Some moviegoers we spoke to in Columbus on Friday night say there needs to be an increase in security at movie theaters and many other public places.
However, others say we shouldn't let these isolated incidents cause us to "live in fear."
"Even though I'm at the movie theater today I had second thoughts of a coming to the movie theater tonight," said moviegoer Robert Rozala.
"We should be able to go enjoy the movie with the family without having to worry about these kinds of incidents," added moviegoer Eric Price.
All of the moviegoers we spoke to said they did think about the shootings when deciding to come but said they wouldn't let it keep them home.
