Dog of Homeless Man needs a home

The dog of a Columbus homeless man found dead over the weekend needs a new home.
Sassy is the dog of William Edwards, a man brutally murdered early yesterday morning.
Friends of Edwards say Sassy has been traumatized and was the kind of dog that never left her owners side.
"I think it would need to be somebody that has a lot of patients and a lot of understanding for a dog that has seen a lot of trauma and been through a lot trauma and been separated from their owner. I mean they were friends for a very long time," says Edward's friend, Farah Halford.
Edwards was found on Second Avenue near Tent City- where he lived under the bridge.
Police are still investigating his death. Those who are interested in adopting Sassy can call the 2nd Ave. Animal Hospital at (706) 507-7297.
