LAGRANGE, GA (WTVM) - A LaGrange man has been arrested in connection to a break-in at an Italian restaurant in LaGrange.
On July 26 LaGrange Police were dispatched to Venucci's on Main Street at approximately 4 a.m. in connection to a broken front door.
Officers found blood and broken glass outside the restaurant along with a red fire extinguisher. They discovered an open bottle of wine and food scattered in an office and wallet belonging to 22-year-old Kyle Blanton.
The officers followed the blood trail outside the business which led them to Checkers located on Vernon Street. Officers then located Blanton, who was unconscious and bleeding profusely.
They also located five bottles of wine, two bags of chicken, and one bag of bread taken from the restaurant.
Blanton was taken to the West Georgia Medical Center Emergency Room for treatment and a warrant was secured for his arrest.
