Crawdads finish as Sunbelt League runners-up for second straight season

Atlanta Crackers 10, Phenix City Crawdads 5

PHENIX CITY, AL (WTVM) - The Atlanta Crackers used a strong start to hand the Phenix City Crawdads a 10-5 loss to claim their third straight Sunbelt League championship.

The game was played Wednesday night at Bill Bowers Park on the campus of Glenwood School.

The Crackers scored solo runs in the first and third, then added a 4-run fourth to take a 6-0 lead and command of the ballgame.

They touched up Crawdads ace Bryan Headley for eight runs and 12 hits in five innings to hand Headley his first loss since the first week of June.

Kevin Manos and Drew Lingo homered for the Crawdads, who wind up league runners-up for the second straight season.
