Phenix City church hosts Back to School Health Fair

COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) - Students were given school supplies and health screenings as they prepare to go back to classes.

The Back to School Health Fair was put on by Faith Fellowship Church in Phenix City.

Not only was this church giving away book bags and school supplies, but they were also giving away vision, dental, and hearing screenings.

"It's very important for us that we give back to the community, and this is benefiting the community because it's giving children the opportunity to have school supplies who might not be as fortunate for their parents to be able to purchase it for them,”  Wanda Singleton said, the Event Coordinator.

Organizers also said that this was a perfect way to get residents back to school all at one place.
